Triple pane windows

Did you know that triple pane glass could save you money every month? Whether you are looking at the cost of heating in the winter or cooling in the summer, triple pane will the take edge off your heating and cooling bills. One of the ways it saves you money is by adding 2 layers of argon gas between the three panes of glass. Since argon is heavier than the air we breathe, it helps to insulate the outside weather from transferring through to the inside. It also helps to keep your indoor temperatures from escaping to the outside. Another factor that makes triple pane glass more efficient is the Low-E2 coatings. Our triple pane glass has two coats of Low-E2. One of the coatings reflects the heat back into the room during the winter.
While the other Low-E2 coating reflects heat back to the outside in the summer. By making the air between the glass warmer it allows you to run a little more humidity into your home in the winter. Because cooler temperatures hold less humidity before condensation happens, the warmer the glass surface the less the condensation factor.

Did you know the typical 2” x 4” wall has an R-value of between 8 and 10? Did you also know the R-value of triple pane glass is about 8. What that means is the center of the glass has about the same R-value as a 2” x 4” wall with fiberglass insulation. After all of this information, doesn’t that warm you up! And it will, definitely, warm up your heating and cooling bills! Ask for triple pane the next time you order windows for you home.
